Hey guys just like you all I'm also a huge fan of the POP series.
I played each part then started playing the latest one named : The Forgotten Sands
It was like a dream come true for me. But the dream was short lived when I came across the so called upgrade glitch.
It was like I can use the basic powers but can't upgrade any further. WTF !!
So, I searched the internet for its solution fruitlessly.
Out of my frustration came the solution to this bug.
(This is for those who cannot upgrade further because the upgrade menu got locked)
The solution is very easy and you don't even need to restart from the beginning or reinstall the game, just do the following things.......
(1) If you have not cracked the game, crack it first using the SKIDROW crack...download it from any torrent site (ex. torrentz.com etc)
( Note on how to crack : Just download the above mentioned crack and then extract it. Now go to the folder where u have installed pop, backup the prince of persia.exe, gu.exe and ubiorbitapi_r2.dll file and then overwrite the original files with the files in skidrow folder)
{If you don't want to crack your game then find the save file folder and jump to step 4}
(2) Now goto C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\storage\SKIDROW
(Put your username here. This is also the location for saved files)
(3) You will find a folder no.11 with 3 files in it.
(Or it depends upon your crack and os)
(4) Delete the one named upgrades.ravcpa
(Don't worry this file is regenerated by the game)
(5) Start the game. You will be amazed to see that you have restored all your upgrades
(Note : Initially goto upgrades menu, first upgrade to level 1 then save your selection and come out of it. Now again goto the upgrade menu and hurray upgrades are still available....repeat the same procedure till u get all your upgrades back)
